2015 and 2016 Manitoba Country Music Association Roots Artist of the Year!
Honest as a day spent on a tractor, and driven like the drifting Prairie snow. Manitoba Country Music Association Roots Artist of the Year, Quinton Blair is a self-ordained troubadour, tale-spinner and songwriter. Imagine Steve Earle jamming with Dwight Yoakam, minus the burden of fame. Influenced by the likes of Rodney Crowell, Hayes Carll and Merle Haggard, his brand of strikingly diverse roots/country music casts a wide loop, and captivates audiences with witty stories and relatable songs.
Singer-songwriter Kayla Luky lives in Grandview, Manitoba, a small farming community nestled between the Riding and Duck Mountains. This unique setting gives her country sound absolute authenticity.
After much positive response to Kayla Luky’s last albums The Time It Takes (2011) and Kayla & Ben (2013) she decided to further cultivate her music by working with award winning producer Murray Pulver (Doc Walker, Steve Bell, Bros Landreth.) The end result is Back To Dirt (2017) featuring twelve new tracks soaked in alcohol, dirt and sorrow, honouring the roots of real country music.

Obby Khan is a former Winnipeg Blue Bomber and current owner of the successful restaurants, Shawarma Khan and Green Carrot Juice Company.

Excuses robbed me of an exciting, vibrant life of happiness and achievement. Excuses broke me down, justified my inaction and paved the way to true failure. (True failure is when you fail at something and give up, settle and stop growing). I finally saw my excuses for what they are, a lie! Excuses are fear, laziness, lack of vision and lack of esteem. When I became truly aware of my thoughts and identified them, I began to let the self-defeating ones go. I now create my own future! Big Dreams Bigger Excuses is a book on overcoming the reasons that hold you back from pursuing your dreams. My mission is to help people live the life they have always dreamed of by giving suggested solutions on how to overcome the excuses that hold them back. My vision is to become a global speaker and author that is dedicated to helping people on their personal growth journey.
On April 30th, 2017, Courtney Mandock won the Provincial title of Miss Manitoba World 2017. With this title, she will be representing Manitoba at the Miss World Canada Pageant in Toronto this summer, from July 16th through July 23rd. Courtney will be entering her sixth and final year of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manitoba this fall. As one of very few women in a male dominated field, she has gained a unique perspective on problems and a confidence she wouldn't have otherwise. When Courtney is not studying, she can be found tutoring high school students, working on a new DIY project, modeling for her community, devouring a new book or skijoring with her husky, Ice. She likes to keep busy, but always has time for a cup of coffee with friends.
