Kevin Tesoro is a human-centred technology and social innovation leader whose work connects public service, emergency response, community support, and creative production. Originally from New Jersey, Kevin moved to Ontario in 2020 after serving as a 9-1-1 Communications Officer and Emergency Medical Technician, including with the National Park Service at the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

In Canada, Kevin supported people experiencing homelessness through frontline shelter and rapid-rehousing roles before joining Redwood, a charity creating safe, affordable, hopeful housing. He now serves as Manager of Technology & Social Innovation, where he manages organization-wide technology, develops practical systems and digital tools, and helps teams work more effectively.

Kevin also works across North America as an event technical director, showcaller, and audio-visual professional. As a musician and DJ, he understands the creative side of NTFT’s work and the unique power of music, storytelling, and live experiences to connect with young people and make important conversations more accessible.

Kevin’s contributions to community service and innovation were recognized with Georgian College’s 2024 Community Changemaker Award. As Vice-Chair of the Board at No Time for That Anti-Bullying Society, he brings a calm, solutions-focused approach grounded in safety, dignity, inclusion, and care. His commitment to creating responsive, compassionate systems aligns with the charity’s mission to help young people feel safe, supported, and empowered.

Guided by his personal motto, “Helping people help people,” Kevin focuses on giving individuals and organizations the tools and resources they need to create lasting positive change.
