MENTAL HEALTH MONTH WITH DOANE GRANT THORNTON
What a meaningful few days with Doane Grant Thornton. 💜
Our charity was honoured to join both the downtown Toronto and Markham offices for their Walk Across Canada for Mental Health in partnership with A Dollar A Day Foundation.
In Toronto, we joined approximately 75 passionate staff and leaders for a beautiful walk by the CN Tower and Elsie and Ryan delivered a kickoff speech to help set the tone for an afternoon focused on connection, leadership, and mental health awareness.
In Markham, we were grateful to deliver a presentation highlighting the important connection between bullying and mental health, and why creating safe, supportive, and inclusive environments matters in schools, workplaces, and communities.
Prevention starts with conversations and action like this. It starts with people showing up, listening, learning, walking together, and choosing to make a difference.
Bullying and intimidation, whether at school or in the workplace, can have lasting impacts on a person’s confidence, wellbeing, relationships, and sense of belonging. That is why awareness, empathy, leadership, and community care are so important.
Thank you to the Doane Grant Thornton team, your Greater Purpose initiative for donating to our charity, and both the Toronto and Markham offices for your kindness, hospitality, and commitment to mental health advocacy. The energy and sense of community throughout both events was truly inspiring.
We are grateful to continue growing our impact across Canada with organizations that understand that mental health advocacy belongs everywhere.
